Claude and artificial intelligence lessons

Understand and use artificial intelligence safely, with a method.

I’m Laurent Poupet, artificial intelligence architect at OpenCenterAI, pairing with Claude since 2023: more than 12,000 hours in Claude Code. I teach Claude and artificial intelligence in one-to-one online lessons, taught in French, on your real projects and in the Claude app, with no terminal: you type, I guide.

01Trial lesson

Trial lesson: 30 minutes to assess your level and build your training plan

How it runs, minute by minute

  1. Assessment5 minutes

What you do with artificial intelligence today, your tools, your goal.

  2. One of your cases, live15 minutes

Screen shared, in the Claude app: you drive, I show you the moves that change everything.

  3. Your training plan10 minutes

Your two or three blind spots, the first lessons to take and in what order. Then you decide, with no pressure at all.

You leave with your level assessed and a written training plan, tailored to your goal.

Six tracks, from setting up Claude for the first time to your own applications

48 one-hour lessons. We go at your pace: one lesson at a time, in the order that suits you, taught in French.

  1. Track 0

    Preamble: Claude on your computer

The starting point, required before anything else: installing the Claude desktop app, settings, connecting Claude to your tools, letting it operate the computer, shortcuts. Every step is illustrated, nothing to type in a terminal.

  2. Track 1

    Discovering Claude day to day

The models, prompts that work, projects, artifacts, images, files, and working as a team with Claude.

    Skills, agents and connectors

Extending Claude without limits: creating skills, reacting to events, plugging in ready-made or custom connectors, delegating to subagents, building your own agents.

04A glimpse of the lessons

Three lessons of the Claude Code track, as you will receive them

11 one-hour lessons of the “Claude Code: the augmented developer” track are ready, each with concepts, step-by-step instructions, exercises with solutions and a five-question quiz. Here are three excerpts.

Claude Code · lesson 1

Install the Claude App and Open the Code Tab

Goal

You can install the Claude desktop app, sign in, open the Code tab on a folder of your computer, choose the model and the permission mode, and have a first change made and approved, without ever typing a command.

Two concepts

  • Claude desktop appThe Claude program you install on a Mac or Windows computer.
  • Required subscriptionThe Code tab requires a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise subscription.

Claude Code · lesson 2

Your First Session on a Project

Goal

You can open an existing project in the Code tab, ask a clear question, let Claude analyse the code, approve or decline its proposals, review its changes in the diff view and resume a session later.

Two concepts

  • Working folderThe folder chosen with Open folder….
  • The agentic loopFor each request, Claude goes through three phases: gather context (search and read files), act (edit, run commands), check (rerun tests, reread).

Claude Code · lesson 3

CLAUDE.md and Persistent Memory

Goal

You can have a CLAUDE.md created at project level and at user level, write your coding conventions and personal rules in it, check that Claude rereads them at the start of each session, and look at what its auto memory has kept.

Two concepts

  • Project CLAUDE.mdA text file at the root of the project (./CLAUDE.md, or ./.claude/CLAUDE.md to keep the root clean).
  • User CLAUDE.mdThe file ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md, in your home folder (on Windows, ~ means C:\Users\your-name).
05How it works

A first lesson, then your online space

  1. Book a lesson on italki or write to me: the first lesson (a 30-minute trial lesson, $20) is an assessment of how you use Claude, and you leave with a written training plan.

  2. After the lesson, I send you an access code for this site: your lessons, your quizzes, your end-of-track tests, your printable sheets.

  3. Everything happens in the Claude desktop app: no terminal, no command line to type.
